For the press

We have collected our information for the press on the pages of this website and on our blog. Here below are some answers to the most common questions. You can also find more information on our instagram account @stedsansinthewoods .

We only consider press request from long-format media like podcasts and long-read articles. If you have such a request, please contact us via mail@thebeautifulsolution.com .

General statement

We did not break any rules. We did pollute, we did not ‘leave’ any waste, we did not cheat anyone and we did not ‘flee’ a tax debt. The media, on the other hand, broke all rules of conduct, and the article about us should never have been printed.

We are standing at a point in time where we all have to make some radical decisions about the way we consume. By suggesting alternative solutions to the way we mistreat our planet for the comfort of human beings, we have made our contribution, we feel. For two decades we have worked to suggest alternative solutions to the unsustainable ways of consumption, we see as normal in the Western World today. That our alternative, completely natural solutions are being demonized this way, is a complete failure from both the press and the municipality officials, who lied in the articles that were going around about us.. All mixed up in a good soup of people who hold grudges against us for personal reasons.

It steals the focus from the fact that our oceans are dying, our soil is depleted, our drinking water and food is poisoned, and that species go extinct every day. It may sell newspapers, to twist the truth this way, but it’s not even sustainable for the media. By acting this way, journalists only add fuel to the fire in the hearts of people who are angry that the media doesn’t serve the role it has promised to serve. It has become a self-serving entity, only focused on clicks. But just like any other type of cancer, a self-serving entity will eventually die, when it’s killed its supply.

An all-serving entity is the model that permaculture suggests. This is a mindset we hope to see promoted in the press, not demonized and made wrong the way it happened in spring 2025 - with us as the main characters.

Why do we say we handled wastewater correctly?

Below is a little video that shows some of the products we used for personal hygiene and cleaning. All are 100% biodegradable, i.e. they do not harm in nature.

In permaculture you take responsibility for your own ‘shit’ as good as possible. If we all do so, we may safe the planet. That’s what we need to talk about. Not laws and crazy bureaucracy to safe us from our reckless way of pouring poison down in drains - the way most people do without thinking about it.

Maybe we just like to hunt witches because it’s more fun than looking at what actually is the cause of the problems we see in the world today. My take is that a disconnection from waste is one of the big villains when it comes to people’s indifference towards nature. When someone else handles it, we’re safe, right? Sorry, that’s not the way things work. If it was, our oceans wouldn’t be dying. Nature knows how to handle water better than any water plant, as long as we just don’t use poison.
